Foodies

Thanks, Rachael Ray for this fun kid recipe. I'm not sure that is the way she intended it, but Violet not only likes to make these, she also likes to eat them. And anything that expands her palate further than green yogurt and hotdogs is good in my eyes.

That's fresh mozzarella, tiny basil leaves from the garden and roasted red peppers all held together with that apex of culinary delight – the frilly toothpick.

Meanwhile, Stella's food project was not quite as edible, but equally entertaining.

Cornstarch and water. 45 minutes worth of intense play from a half a cup of cornstarch. And when her fascination started to wane? A drop of pink tempera paint did the trick.
